Human Behavioral Patterns: Washington D.C., Kingdom of Predators

The people of Washington, D.C. aren’t stupid, and that’s the problem. They possess cunning, a subconscious predation. They see beyond sight, they sense your internals. Your inner workings, your defenses, your lies to evade their radar. They are sensitive to silence, movement, opacity. These people are a nuisance, a conflict in the dark. They understand time, utilizing patience to wear you down. This species is tactical, but can endure your endurance. With strategy in limited quantity, they seek to exhaust you. Wear down your options through sheer attrition. You don’t need their praise, but you need their money. Such a thing can only be derived from the group, and the group demands conformity. Conform you will, conform you shall, but to what degree?

The degree is always unknown, a moving target, something agreed today and changed tomorrow. It shifts, then shifts again; you shift, pause, then lose track. Your radar scrambles and they lock on. You dodge, and they lock again. You duck, and they jerk right; you lean, and they advance.

The people of Washington D.C. are willful in their assessments. They calculate, but do not calculate. They watch, change, shift, and move again. They counter your counters, deoptomize your optomizations. When you evolve, they evolve. Study, and they study. Read, and they read. They seek to mirror, copy, co-opt… deconstruct your trajectory, and track you. Deny, degrade, disrupt, deceive, and destroy, is not their mantra, but it is close. Their goal is dual pronged, prevent advancement, prevent escape. Immobilization, the end goal; friction, the method; constriction, a strategy; swarming, a tactic. Beware the men of the city; they are tricky to see, difficult to read, impossible to diagnose.
