Literal Thinkers

It approaches again

the seed of doubt

the rain on my parade

the insinuation that I am not right

that I cannot write

and tumble as I please.

Mechanics come to chain me

prose and structure scream,

their stringent critics come

in straitjacket;

the thought police

who ignore my protests

drilling deep through hard forehead

they attempt to scramble

all that is unique

throughout these dumb class times.
